FALL 2008
Thanks to the Princeton Review, parents at W.W. Samuell and Thomas Jefferson High Schools were treated to some very valuable information on the ACT/SAT/PSAT tests. They learned about testing strategies, testing timelines, and tips and tricks to help their respective students achieve the highest score possible. Additionally, assistant principals and other staff presented on "Qualifications to Walk the Stage." Parents learned about testing, grading, attendance and graduation qualifications.
Parents were also able to sign up for much needed services for their student(s) such as mentoring and SAT test preparation. Other supporting agencies in attendance included Communities In Schools (CIS), Academic Success Program, Princeton Review, and the Dallas Concilio. These have been solid events. We look forward to bringing additional beneficial information to Samuell and TJ H.S. parents.
In the words of one parent, "I learned a lot . I know more about how the tests work and where I can get help for my daughter."
